‘War 2’ Advance Bookings Skyrocket After Addition Of Telugu Shows

The highly anticipated Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR starrer has seen a staggering 10-fold jump in advance bookings, with ticket sales skyrocketing from 2,500 to 25,000 per hour.

August 13, 2025: War 2, an action thriller starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, is seeing a huge rise in advance ticket sales as its release date approaches. After booking started in the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, pre-sales for the movie, which is the newest entry in the YRF Spy Universe, shot up by 10 times.

At first, pre booking was going at a rate of about 2,500 tickets per hour. But when the Telugu shows started, ticket sales shot up to an amazing 25,000 every hour. This was a clear evidence of how excited Jr NTR’s huge fan base was. Reports say that the start of pre-sales in some areas was pushed back because the administration was still deciding whether or not to raise ticket prices.

Before the Telugu shows started, the Hindi version had already made about ₹10 crore in gross business on its first day. The movie is set to have a great opening, with ₹9.8 crore in advance bookings (not including block seats).

War 2 is a sequel to the hit movie War from 2019. It will come out on August 14 in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. Ayan Mukerji is in charge of the movie. The movie will have to compete at the box office with Rajinikanth’s Coolie, which comes out on the same day.
