War 2 Creates History in Telugu States: Hrithik Roshan & Jr NTR’s Film Surpasses KGF 2 in Pre-Release Biz!
May 25, 2025: Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s War 2 is already making waves long before its theatrical release. As anticipation soars, the film has set a new benchmark in Telugu states, surpassing even the mighty KGF Chapter 2 in pre-release business.
With Jr NTR’s inclusion in the cast, the hype surrounding War 2 has skyrocketed in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where the actor commands a massive following. Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan also enjoys a solid fanbase in the region, making the film a true pan-India offering from Bollywood.
Record-Breaking Offers for Telugu Distribution Rights
According to a report by Pinkvilla, major distribution houses including Mythri Movie Makers, Sri Venkateshwara Creations, Sithara Entertainment, and Asian Cinemas are battling it out for Telugu distribution rights. Offers have ranged between ₹90 crore and ₹110 crore on a Non-Refundable Advance (NRA) basis.

Asian Cinemas has reportedly offered a staggering ₹100 crore to YRF for both the Hindi and Telugu-dubbed versions in Telugu states, while Sithara Entertainment has bid ₹80 crore. Although a final deal has yet to be sealed, these figures already mark a historic milestone: War 2 has become the highest pre-release grosser for a dubbed film in Telugu markets, surpassing the record previously held by KGF Chapter 2.
High Demand Beyond Telugu States
The buzz isn’t limited to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In Karnataka, industry heavyweights like KVN Productions and Hombale Films are also vying for distribution rights, adding to the film’s pan-India hype.
