Watch: Aamir Khan’s First Reaction On Operation Sindoor And Ongoing Cross Border Tensions

May 11, 2025: Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has broken his silence on the recent Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians, including tourists. Speaking at a media event, Khan addressed the nation’s collective grief and called for a firm and just response.

“We need justice and assurance that it [terrorist attacks] won’t happen again. We believe in our government, they’ll take actions against the anti-social elements who committed this and bring them to justice,” Aamir said in an emotional statement now going viral online.

Khan also commended the Indian government’s response to the tragedy, which included Operation Sindoor—a large-scale strategic military operation aimed at destroying terrorist hubs across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Following India’s strike, Pakistan launched counter-attacks using artillery, drones, and missiles, eventually breaching the ceasefire agreement that was brokered on April 10.

In solidarity with the national mood, Aamir Khan postponed the trailer launch of his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par, which was originally slated for release on May 8.

The ongoing conflict continues to dominate national headlines, especially after Pakistan’s ceasefire violation in Srinagar, just hours after the agreement was made official. The Indian government has since reaffirmed its commitment to protecting its citizens and taking a hard stance against terrorism.

Aamir Khan’s heartfelt remarks reflect a growing call from citizens and public figures alike for a safer, more secure India, where justice prevails and the memory of innocent victims is honored with meaningful action.
