June 2, 2025: The Housefull 5 promotional event in Pune on Sunday turned chaotic as an overwhelming crowd of excited fans pushed and screamed to catch a glimpse of the film’s star-studded cast. Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nana Patekar, and others were promoting their upcoming film when the situation quickly got out of hand.

As the stars entered the mall hosting the event, every corner filled up with fans, including women and children, all vying for a spot to see their favorite actors. Several videos circulating on social media showed fans in tears, with some being pushed and shoved amid the frenzy.

Seeing the crowd get dangerously unruly, Akshay Kumar took to the microphone to appeal for calm and caution. “Dhakka dhukki mat kariye, please. Haath jod ke vinanti karta hoon, yaha auratein hai, bacche hai…I request everyone, please,” Akshay said with folded hands, urging fans to be mindful of the women and children present.

The other cast members, including Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Soundarya Sharma, and Fardeen Khan, appeared visibly tense as the crowd settled down following Akshay’s intervention.

Once order was restored, the promotional event continued smoothly, with the cast even seen enjoying some dance moments before wrapping up on schedule.

The incident highlights the immense fan following of the Housefull franchise and the challenges of managing large crowds at public events.
