Watch Jasleen Royal, Chris Martin Performance At Coldplay’s Mumbai Concert

January 19, 2025: Indian singer Jasleen Royal added a special touch to Coldplay’s concert at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday, January 19. She opened the show with a soulful rendition of her song “Kho Gaye Hum Kahan”, mesmerizing the audience with her emotive performance. Later in the evening, Jasleen joined Coldplay’s frontman, Chris Martin, for a heartfelt duet of “We Pray,” a track from the band’s latest album Moon Music, further enchanting the crowd.

Jasleen shared highlights from the memorable evening on her Instagram, posting clips from both her performance and the rehearsals. Dressed in a shimmering black outfit with smoky makeup and wavy hair, she looked stunning as she played the piano and sang to loud cheers from the audience. Expressing her gratitude, she wrote, “Thank you Mumbai, I love you.”

The concert was full of delightful surprises, with Chris Martin incorporating a unique Indian touch into the performance. He charmed fans by reading placards held by the audience, expressing his thanks with a heartfelt “Shukriya” and even shouting “Jai Shri Ram,” which drew enthusiastic applause. Intrigued by the phrase, Martin even asked the crowd to explain its meaning.

Adding to the excitement, Martin gave a playful shoutout to Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah during one of the final songs. He joked, “Hold on, we have to finish the show because Jasprit Bumrah wants to come and play backstage. He says he needs to bowl at me now.” While Bumrah didn’t actually appear, the mention thrilled the crowd.

The concert, organized by BookMyShow Live, was a sensory extravaganza, featuring iconic Coldplay hits such as “Fix You” and “A Sky Full of Stars,” leaving fans in awe. Before the show, Chris Martin and his partner, actor Dakota Johnson, visited the Shri Babulnath Temple in traditional Indian attire, adding a spiritual dimension to their trip.

Coldplay’s India tour will continue with performances in Mumbai on January 19 and 21, followed by shows in Ahmedabad on January 25 and 26.
