Watch The Trailer Of ‘Death Of A Unicorn’

December 19, 2024: Jenna Ortega and Paul Rudd are set to star together in the upcoming film “Death of a Unicorn,” which is already generating buzz after the release of its trailer. The film, written and directed by Alex Scharfman, is slated for a spring release next year. Alongside Ortega and Rudd, the film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Will Poulter, Tea Leoni, Richard E. Grant, Anthony Carrigan, Sunita Mani, and Jessica Hynes.

In “Death of a Unicorn,” Rudd plays a father, and Ortega plays his daughter. The plot kicks off when they accidentally hit a unicorn with their car while traveling to a weekend retreat with Rudd’s millionaire boss (played by Grant). As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that this unicorn holds extraordinary powers, including a potential cure for cancer, which leads to complications. One of the memorable lines from the trailer is Ortega’s character saying, “Dad, please just listen to me. We need to give the little one back, OK? Bad things will happen.” The movie seems to blend fantasy, comedy, and drama, with a touch of dark humor.

The film is produced by Scharfman, Tyler Campellone, Tim Headington, Drew Houpt, Lucas Joaquin, Lars Knudsen, and Theresa Steele Page, with Ortega, Rudd, and Ari Aster serving as executive producers.

In addition to her film career, Ortega will soon return to the iconic role of Wednesday Addams in Season 2 of Netflix’s Wednesday. The second season is highly anticipated, and fans are excited to see Ortega’s character continue her journey at Nevermore Academy. The core cast, including Hunter Doohan, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Luis Guzman, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Fred Armisen, and Isaac Ordonez, will also return. Netflix teased the new season with a behind-the-scenes video in September, where Ortega’s voiceover cryptically stated, “If we showed you any more, your eyes would bleed and I’m not that generous.”

Ortega will also serve as a producer on Wednesday season two, alongside a talented group of showrunners. The series is created by Al Gough and Miles Millar, with Tim Burton executive producing and directing four episodes in the first season.

Jenna Ortega’s career is on an exciting upward trajectory, with her taking on a variety of roles that showcase her versatility, from the supernatural allure of Wednesday to the intriguing premise of Death of a Unicorn. Fans of both projects can look forward to more of her dynamic performances in 2025 and beyond!
