Ustaad Bhagat Singh sees steady numbers, trails behind previous Pawan Kalyan hits

March 22, 2026: Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh has crossed the ₹50 crore mark within just three days of its theatrical release, but its box office momentum appears relatively slower compared to the actor’s recent films. The film earned ₹9.15 crore on Day 3, showing a slight improvement from Friday’s ₹9 crore, with an overall occupancy of around 36% across 3,340 shows. However, this remains significantly lower than its strong opening day collection of ₹34.75 crore, indicating a front-loaded start. The film’s total domestic collection now stands at ₹52.90 crore net.

Despite entering the ₹50 crore club, the film has not been able to match the pace of Hari Hara Veera Mallu and They Call Him OG, both of which posted higher three-day totals. While Ustaad Bhagat Singh has performed better than the Telugu version of Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge on Day 3, the comparison is limited due to fewer shows for the latter. The film’s performance reflects a steady but not explosive trend at the box office.

Released on March 19, the film faced competition from Dhurandhar 2, which dominated screens in several regions and impacted occupancy levels. Mixed reviews have further influenced its trajectory, keeping audience response stable but not exceptional. Directed by Harish Shankar and starring Sreeleela, Raashii Khanna, and R Parthiban, the film is an adaptation of Theri. With weekdays approaching, its ability to sustain momentum will be crucial for its overall box office run.
