December 5, 2024: Prince Harry recently addressed the persistent rumors about his marriage to Meghan Markle, dismissing speculation of a potential divorce in his usual candid and humorous manner. During an appearance at the New York Times' 2024 DealBook Summit on December 4, the Duke of Sussex responded to tabloid gossip about the couple, which has been fueled by their occasional appearances at public events separately.

In his characteristic lighthearted style, Harry quipped, "Apparently, we've bought or moved house 10, 12 times. We've apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it's just like, what?" He also acknowledged how difficult it is to keep up with such rumors, adding, "It's hard to keep up with, but that's why you just sort of ignore it."

Harry further expressed his sympathy for the online trolls who eagerly anticipate his marriage's breakdown, saying, "The people I feel most sorry for are the trolls... Their hopes are just built and built, and it's like, 'Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,' and then it doesn't happen. So I feel sorry for them. Genuinely, I do."

While the Duke remains unfazed by the rumors, he also took the opportunity to reflect on the broader issue of media scrutiny. Harry has been vocal about the negative impact of the British press on his family and has previously raised concerns about the dangers of tabloid culture. He has explained his reluctance to return to the UK, citing serious safety fears due to the press's constant invasions of privacy and the potential for dangerous repercussions.

"The environment is still unsafe," Harry remarked, "And all it takes is one lone actor, one person who reads this stuff to act on what they have read." This reflects his broader concerns about the impact of tabloid gossip on his family's security, particularly in relation to his wife, Meghan, and their young children, Archie and Lilibet.

Despite the ongoing rumors and public scrutiny, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continue to prioritize their family's privacy and security, with Harry stating that they are focused on raising their children away from the intense public glare that has often followed them throughout their lives.
