Actress Anna Camp is thrilled for fans to experience Scream 7, calling the upcoming horror flick a must-watch for longtime followers of the franchise. The film, set for release on February 27, 2026, brings back the original spirit of the iconic slasher series.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at the Mediterrane Film Festival’s Golden Bee Awards in Malta, Camp said, “This one is going to be great because it’s Sidney Prescott, an iconic character, and Neve Campbell, an iconic actress. It’s a coming home story for her.”

Directed by franchise creator Kevin Williamson and written by Guy Busick and James Vanderbilt, Scream 7 continues where Scream VI left off and features returning cast members Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Roger L. Jackson, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and David Arquette. New additions include Isabel May and Joel McHale.
Camp revealed how inspiring it was to watch Campbell and Williamson work together. “This character is so close to home for her. She’s grown up playing this role and knows when something doesn’t feel right for Sidney,” said Camp. “Watching their shorthand and collaboration, I thought, ‘I want a relationship like that with a director.’”
Aside from her excitement for Scream 7, Camp shared a personal milestone—attending the event with her new girlfriend, Jade Whipkey, marking their first international trip together. “We’ve been having the best time,” Camp said, adding that they’ve been dating for nearly seven months.
On the career front, Camp is keeping busy. “I have a few indie movies coming up, Scream 7 in February, and I’m producing three scripts right now. I’m not just waiting for the phone to ring—I’m creating work for myself,” she shared.
