What Happened to Katy & Orlando’s ‘Forever Home’?
June 27, 2025: Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have reportedly begun renting out their luxurious $15 million Montecito mansion—just months after officially taking ownership and shortly after announcing the end of their engagement.
The couple originally purchased the eight-bedroom, 11-bathroom estate from entrepreneur Carl Westcott in July 2020. But legal drama quickly followed when Westcott, who was diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease in 2015, claimed mental incapacity and sought to rescind the deal.

Despite years of litigation, Perry officially gained ownership of the 1930s property in May 2024. The estate spans over 9,000 square feet on 2.5 acres, featuring an infinity pool, jacuzzi, ocean-facing guesthouse, and outdoor kitchen.
Court rulings found Westcott mentally competent during the sale. Perry’s lawyer stated that Westcott simply had a change of heart, not a legal claim.
The pop star is now seeking $6 million in damages, including $3 million in lost rental income, as part of a countersuit. Interestingly, it remains unclear if Perry and Bloom ever moved into the property before making it available for rent in February.
In a heartfelt letter sent to Westcott before the legal battle, Perry and Bloom described the estate as the ideal place to raise their daughter, Daisy Dove, who was born in August 2020. That dream seems to have taken a turn with their recent separation and the legal storm that followed.
