Netflix Confirms Production for Hit Korean Zombie Series. Cast, Plot, and Expected 2026 Premiere Details Revealed

July 23, 2025: Netflix has officially announced that Season 2 of “All of Us Are Dead” is in the works. They also shared some intriguing facts regarding the cast, plot, and the expected release date in 2026. The popular Korean zombie show, which is based on Joo Dong-geun’s webtoon, is going to spread its terrifying epidemic beyond Hyosan High School and into the busy city of Seoul.

In 2022, the debut season of “All of Us Are Dead” wowed audiences throughout the world, with over 560 million viewing hours in its first 28 days and a spot in the Top 10 in more than 90 countries.

Park Ji-hu (Nam On-jo), Yoon Chan-young (Lee Cheong-san), Cho Yi-hyun (Choi Nam-ra), and Lomon (Lee Su-hyeok) are all back, which means that their survival stories will continue. Lee Min-jae, Kim Si-eun, Roh Jae-won, and Yoon Ga-i will all join the cast in the new season, adding new characters to the desperate fight for survival.

In Season 2, Nam On-jo is now a college student in Seoul, but he is still dealing with the deep trauma from the Hyosan High outbreak. But her fight for normalcy doesn’t last long because a second wave of zombies hits the city, forcing her to fight for her life again, this time without the support system she used to rely on. The show will look at how Lee Cheong-san, Choi Nam-ra, and Lee Su-hyeok are dealing with life after the first epidemic, focusing on their own travels and problems.

On-jo will make new friends with her older classmates at school: Yong Ma-ru (Lee Min-jae), So Ju-ran (Kim Si-eun), and Lee Jong-a (Yoon Ga-i). Reports say that this new organization has come up with their own ways to deal with the ongoing situation. Han Du-seok (Roh Jae-won), a team leader from the National Intelligence Service, adds a new level of stress to the story. His involvement signals that the government is taking a bigger role in the illness that is spreading.

Lee JQ and Kim Nam-su, the award-winning filmmaking duo from Season 1, will be back to direct, while Chun Sung-il will write the narrative again. SLL Joongang, KIMJONGHAK PRODUCTION, and NPIO Entertainment are all working together with FILM MONSTER Co., Ltd. to make the season.

Netflix hasn’t set an official release date for “All of Us Are Dead” Season 2 yet, but most people think it will come out in 2026. This will be another exciting and emotional chapter in the zombie apocalypse story.
