I have to say I am sorry also. Dhanush absolutely hated my performance in Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Sorry, Dhanush, for disappointing you with my performance. The footage, she claimed, was freely available online and intended to honor the film’s legacy.
In her letter, Nayanthara alleged that Dhanush had ignored her requests for two years to grant permission to use footage from the film. “This is an all-time low from you and speaks so much about your character,” she wrote. She accused Dhanush of not practicing what he preaches, stating, “I wish you were half the person you portray to be on stage in audio launches in front of your innocent fans.”
While the open letter has sparked a debate on the internet, the resurfaced video of Nayanthara’s public apology has added fuel to the controversy. Fans and industry insiders are speculating on the deeper dynamics between the two stars, whose collaboration on Naanum Rowdy Dhaan resulted in a major box office hit.
