
When Romantic Films are Ruling the Box Office, Let's see How Dhadak 2' Has Performed
August 4, 2025: In a phase in the film industry where love stories and ramantic films are delivering far greater returns, the film ‘Dhadak 2,’ starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, was released in theaters last Friday.
The film is a remake of a Tamil film ‘Pariyerum Perumal.’
While the movie received largely positive reviews and has registered an overall business of about ₹11 crore at the box office, according to Sacnilk.
As per the latest update from Sacnilk, ‘Dhadak 2’ is a spiritual sequel to the 2018 film ‘Dhadak,’ which featured Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor. The film collected ₹4.25 crore on its third day of release. On its opening day, the film had collected ₹3.5 crore and showed little growth on its second day, collecting ₹3.75 crore. The overall collection now stands at ₹11.50 crore.

‘Dhadak 2’ is facing stiff competition at the box office from several other releases, including Ajay Devgn’s ‘Son of Sardaar 2,’ the animation film ‘Mahavatar Narsimha,’ Ahsan Panday and Aneet Padda’s ‘Saiyaara,’ and Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Kingdom.’
Among these, ‘Saiyaara,’ now in its third week of release, collected more than ‘Dhadak 2’ on Sunday, with a collection of ₹8 crore. ‘Saiyaara’ has now crossed the ₹300 crore mark and has emerged as a blockbuster.
