Reflecting on those early days, Shoojit said, “I knew Shah Rukh from our days in Barry John’s theatre group. While I wasn’t in plays with him, I was there, witnessing the rise of a future star.” SRK eventually left the group to act in the popular TV series ‘Fauji,’ marking his first steps into the entertainment industry.

Sircar fondly recounted how SRK and Gauri would meet at a quaint spot in Connaught Place. “There’s a place in Connaught Place called Depaul Cafe where Shah Rukh would often come with Gauri for coffee,” he shared. When interviewer Samdish asked if he had ever seen SRK in a romantic setting, Sircar laughed and replied, “Yes, I saw him romancing her, but not on stage.”
On the work front, Shoojit Sircar’s upcoming film ‘I Want To Talk,’ starring Abhishek Bachchan, is set to release in theaters on November 22. The recently released teaser has sparked considerable intrigue, making it one of the highly anticipated films of the year.
