When Zeenat Aman Recalled Being Blamed for Amitabh Bachchan’s Late Arrival on Set

October 15, 2024: A few day’s after mega star Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday, an instagram post of Veteran actress Zeenat Aman from last year is going viral. In the post, the actress shared a behind-the-scenes memory from her days in Bollywood. In a candid post, she recalled an incident involving Amitabh Bachchan, which occurred during a shoot where she was wrongly blamed for a delay caused by Big B’s late arrival.

A day after Amitabh Bachchan’s 81st birthday, Zeenat Aman shared a nostalgic photograph with the megastar and recounted a memorable yet frustrating incident. The actress revealed how she was wrongly berated by a director for the delay, despite Bachchan being the one who arrived an hour late to the set.

In her post, she recalled, “We had a morning shift that day, and I hitched a ride with the film’s producer. As always, I had my script in hand and was rehearsing my lines on the way to the studio. When I arrived, I informed the crew to let me know when Mr. Bachchan was ready. The scheduled ‘roll time’ came and went, but there was no sign of him. It was an hour later that I finally got word he had arrived and rushed straight to the set.”

However, as soon as Zeenat stepped onto the set, the director erupted in anger, wrongly accusing her of causing the delay. “The director went into a rage, screaming at me in front of the entire cast and crew. I couldn’t even get a word in, and tears of indignation welled up in my eyes. I turned on my heels, stormed back to my makeup room, and told my team to pack up.”

The Apology:

Following this outburst, both Amitabh Bachchan and the producer personally apologized to Zeenat Aman. While the director also later apologized, the incident left a lasting impact on the actress. She concluded by stating that she never worked with that particular director again.
