Why Are Film Federations Boycotting Diljit Dosanjh—Except in Border 2?" Here you know
July 04, 2025: Actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh has shut down exit rumors from the upcoming war drama Border 2 by sharing a behind-the-scenes video from the film’s set on Instagram. The post comes amid speculation over his casting due to the recent backlash surrounding Sardaar Ji 3.Sunny Deol Starrer ‘Border 2’ Filming Begins
The controversy had sparked debate online, with calls for Diljit’s removal from the film. However, in a major relief for the makers of Border 2, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has now officially permitted the release of the movie with Diljit in the lead.
BN Tiwari, president of FWICE, confirmed the development:
“We had three-four meetings with T-Series, the co-producers of Border 2. They informed us the film is nearing completion and that Diljit had only two to three days of work left. Since the film does not feature any Pakistani artist and is a patriotic film, we agreed to let it move forward.”
The permission from FWICE puts an end to the uncertainty surrounding the film’s release and Diljit’s involvement.
