The reason? A packed professional schedule and a personal choice to take a step back from the high-glamour frenzy.

Sources confirm Lopez is currently immersed in filming her new romantic comedy Office Romance and is also prepping to host the upcoming American Music Awards on May 26.

While she was last spotted in public on April 21 attending a book event in NYC, J.Lo did post a gym selfie on Met Gala Monday, subtly confirming her absence.
