Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce may be one of pop culture’s most-watched couples, but their love story hasn’t reached the Met Gala steps — yet.

The duo was notably absent from the 2025 Met Gala, held Monday night at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. While fans hoped the “Cruel Summer” singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end would finally make their red carpet debut at the fashion extravaganza, sources told TMZ that the pair had to decline the invitation due to professional obligations.

Kelce was reportedly in New York earlier for a photoshoot and recently spent time in Las Vegas with Patrick Mahomes and Justin Timberlake. Meanwhile, Swift has kept a low profile since wrapping up her Eras Tour in December and making a glamorous appearance at the Grammys in February.

Swift, who hasn’t attended the Met Gala since co-chairing in 2016 in a futuristic silver Louis Vuitton mini dress, has been a regular in past years wearing labels like Oscar de la Renta, J. Mendel, Ralph Lauren, and Badgley Mischka.
