Unconfirmed rumors say that the Duchess of Sussex is “less than thrilled” that her recent announcement about a Netflix series was completely overshadowed by a surprise album launch from the pop artist.
On August 12, Meghan posted a trailer for the second season of her lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan, which is said to have started the drama.
But Swift’s big announcement about her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, almost instantly stole the show from what she thought would be a big news story. The pop star’s revelation, which was part of a well organized media campaign, is claimed to have gotten 167 million views in only 24 hours, burying Meghan’s trailer in the news cycle.
Some sources say Meghan is “fuming” and sure that the timing wasn’t just a coincidence. An insider informed Radar Online that Meghan “thought her trailer would own global headlines,” but “all anyone talked about that day was Taylor’s new music.”
But not everyone believes this story. Another insider was very clear in saying that the Duchess’s point of view was wrong, saying that the pop artist “wouldn’t even have known or cared” about Meghan’s project. “Meghan isn’t on her radar or in her orbit. “She’s a deluded no-mark who wants to be famous like Taylor,” the person claimed.
