Why Was The Most Followed TikToker Khaby Lame Detained in US? Deets Inside
Washington, June 10, 2025 —
Khaby Lame, the most-followed content creator on TikTok with 162 million followers, was detained by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) last Friday at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas for violating visa conditions, according to an official ICE statement.

The 25-year-old Italian national, who rose to global fame for his wordless reaction videos mocking overly complicated life hacks, was released the same day after agreeing to a voluntary departure from the United States. He has since exited the country.
ICE confirmed:
“Seringe Khabane Lame, an Italian citizen, was detained June 6 in Las Vegas for immigration violations. He entered the U.S. on April 30 and overstayed the terms of his visa.”
There was no public response from Lame as of Tuesday morning.
The situation drew online attention when Bo Loudon, a social media influencer known to be a close aide of Barron Trump, claimed on X (formerly Twitter) that he had alerted authorities about Lame’s visa status.
“I discovered he was illegal… overstayed an invalid VISA, evaded taxes, and I personally took action to have him deported,” Loudon wrote, adding he had worked with Trump-era DHS officials to facilitate the action.
These claims come against the backdrop of a renewed immigration crackdown under President Donald Trump, who returned to office in January and has since begun executing his promised mass deportation policy — parts of which are facing legal challenges in court.
