Will Ranbir Kapoor Choose Alia Bhatt or T-Series Amid Divya Khossla Kumar’s Public Attack?

October 13, 2024: Divya Khossla Kumar ignited controversy over the weekend with a direct attack on Alia Bhatt following the release of her film Jigra. Divya, the wife of T-Series head Bhushan Kumar, accused Alia of misrepresenting box office figures, claiming that theatres showing Jigra were empty. This situation has not only put Alia in the spotlight but has fans wondering whether her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, will be drawn into the feud, given his ongoing relationship with T-Series as the production house behind his upcoming movie Animal Park.

The Feud

On Instagram, Divya accused Alia of inflating the success of Jigra, writing, “Went to Citi Mall PVR for Jigra show. Theatre was totally empty…all theaters going empty everywhere. #Aliabhatt me sach mein Bahut #Jigra hai.. khud hi tickets karide aur fake collections announce kar diye. Wonder why paid media is silent. #weshdnotfooltheaudience #truthoverlies.”

Alia has yet to respond, though Karan Johar made a subtle dig on social media seemingly in response to Divya’s comments.

Ranbir’s Dilemma

Fans are now speculating about Ranbir’s stance. Will he support his wife, Alia, or maintain his ties with T-Series, which is producing Animal Park, the highly anticipated sequel to Animal, one of Ranbir’s biggest hits?

Social media is abuzz with opinions. One user tweeted, “#RanbirKapoor is working on Animal Park with Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series, whose wife just defamed Alia. Will the ‘alpha male’ stand by his wife or not?” Others feel the film is too lucrative for Ranbir to walk away from, with one fan suggesting, “Why should he? He’ll get criticised either way. Best to focus on work and deliver a ₹1000 crore film.”

Some users, however, had a more balanced view. “Let’s not mix personal matters with professional work. Ranbir’s choices as an actor should remain separate from social media drama,” one person commented. Meanwhile, rumors of a potential divorce between Divya and Bhushan have surfaced, leading some to speculate that Ranbir might not need to choose sides after all.
