Will SRK Light Up Diwali with a Star-Studded Party This Year? Here's What We Know
Two of Bollywood’s most anticipated annual Diwali celebrations will not be happening this year, bringing a disappointing update to fans and industry insiders. Both superstar Shah Rukh Khan and actor Ayushmann Khurrana have confirmed they will not be hosting their popular annual festivities.
Shah Rukh Khan’s palatial Mumbai bungalow, Mannat, was once the center of grand, star-studded Bollywood Diwali celebrations. However, the superstar has significantly cut down on the number of parties since the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, the primary reason for canceling the bash is the ongoing renovation of Mannat.
Shah Rukh Khan is currently residing in a temporary residence—a house located within producer-actor Jackky Bhagnani’s residential building. Fans had hoped the actor might host the Diwali party at his new abode, but those hopes were dashed.
Shah Rukh’s manager, Pooja Dadlani, confirmed the news to HT City, stating that the actor will not be throwing a party this year as well. In the past, SRK was known to invite friends and family to Mannat to celebrate the festival of lights with much fanfare.
Similarly, another popular Diwali party hosted by actor Ayushmann Khurrana and his wife, Tahira Kashyap Khurrana, will also be given a miss this year.
A source confirmed to HT City that the couple has decided not to host a celebration. Ayushmann’s full attention is currently focused on his first-ever Diwali film release, Thamma. The actor is prioritizing the promotional activities and commitments surrounding the release of his big festive-season movie
