‘Would You Enjoy My Suhagrat Too?’: Salman Khan’s Witty Dig at Marriage Obsession

June 22, 2025: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, often hailed as India’s “most eligible bachelor” for nearly four decades, recently shared his trademark humour and candid views on why he remains unmarried. Appearing on The Great Indian Kapil Show, the 59-year-old actor was once again put on the spot about his bachelor status, prompting a witty yet thought-provoking response.

When host Kapil Sharma teased him about finding a girlfriend now that fellow actor Aamir Khan is reportedly dating again, Salman firmly said he has no such intentions. Archana Puran Singh then asked if he’s not tired of being asked the same question repeatedly. Salman replied with a classic one-liner that left the audience in splits.

He joked, “Main humesha kehta hu ki mere shaadi kar lene mein aapka kya faeda hai? Kya aapko maza aa raha hai ki main aapke liye suhagrat mana raha hu? Mai kya kar raha hu jisme aapko itni khushi horahi hai ki main barbad hojau?” (I always ask—how does it benefit you if I get married? Are you enjoying the fact that I’m spending my wedding night for you? What am I doing that brings you so much joy in seeing me ruined?)

Salman then took a more serious tone, reflecting on modern-day relationships. He observed how today’s couples often break up over minor issues like snoring or sleeping habits, citing a lack of patience and willingness to compromise. “Phir divorce toh chalo hogya, woh aadhe paise bhi toh le jaati hai,” he said, humorously expressing his fear of financial and emotional setbacks post-divorce. He also admitted that, at his age, starting over would be difficult.

Over the years, Salman Khan has been romantically linked with several prominent names, including Sangeeta Bijlani, Aishwarya Rai, and Katrina Kaif. He was reportedly close to marrying Sangeeta but called it off at the last moment. Aishwarya is now married to Abhishek Bachchan, and Katrina to Vicky Kaushal.

While fans remain curious about Salman’s personal life, the actor seems content with his choices and continues to entertain audiences with his wit, honesty, and charisma.
