Yash-Starrer 'Toxic' To Hit Screens On March 19 Next Year; No Delay, Confirms Makers
Dismissing rumors of a postponement, the producers of ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ have confirmed the film will hit screens on the planned March 19, 2026, date, coinciding with major New Year festivities.
October 30, 2025: Pan-India sensation and K.G.F. star Rocking Star Yash is all set for his return to the big screen with his highly-anticipated film, ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups.’ Following a swirl of rumors suggesting that the film’s release might be delayed, the makers have now provided a definitive confirmation: ‘Toxic’ will release worldwide on March 19, 2026, as originally scheduled.
The clarification came after film trade analyst Taran Adarsh reached out to the production team. Taking to social media, Adarsh issued a clear statement, confirming that the film remains firmly on schedule. The team revealed that post-production and VFX work began in April 2025, around the same time Yash commenced shooting for Ramayana in Mumbai.
The final leg of filming for ‘Toxic’ is currently underway in Bangalore, and the makers are planning to kick off full-scale promotions in January 2026.
Reinforcing this commitment, one of the film’s production banners, KVN Productions, shared a countdown post on social media:
“140 days to go… His Untamed Presence, Is Your Existential Crisis. #ToxicTheMovie releases worldwide on 19-03-2026.”
The chosen release date, March 19, 2026, strategically lands in the heart of a major festive frame, coinciding with Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, and other regional New Year celebrations. This is followed closely by Eid, creating a high-impact four-day celebration window at the box office, which is expected to maximize footfall. Given Yash’s magnetic appeal post-K.G.F., anticipation for the film is at an all-time high.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, known for her distinct and realistic cinematic style, ‘Toxic’ features a stellar ensemble cast alongside Yash, including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, Akshay Oberoi, and Sudev Nair. Reports indicate that Kiara Advani has already wrapped her portions.
The film, jointly produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, is being shot simultaneously in Kannada and English. It will also be released in dubbed versions across multiple languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam, ensuring a massive global release. The project is touted to showcase Yash in an intense and captivating new avatar, marking a powerful departure from his previous persona.
