July 24, 2025: Fans are still interested in the reported romance between actor RJ Mahvash and Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, even though they keep saying it’s not true.
A video that has been posted online showing Chahal giving Mahvash a heartfelt hug during his birthday party in London is the latest piece of evidence that has come to light. Chahal is 35 years old and is presently playing for Northamptonshire in the 2025 County Championship and One-Day Cup in London.
Mahvash also posted a picture of Chahal dining in a restaurant on Instagram on July 23, along with a funny birthday message that said, “Happy Birthday Yuzi!” It’s normal to get older, and certain things are even worse. So, good luck. She made her point by laughing and sending a Korean heart emoji, which made her followers even more excited.
A Timeline of Rumored Romance In late 2024, rumors began to spread that Mahvash and Chahal were dating. This was around the time that Chahal’s ex-wife, Dhanashree Verma, said they were getting a divorce. People started talking when they saw them together at a Christmas gathering. In early 2025, the rumors grew stronger when Chahal’s divorce with Dhanashree Verma was made public on March 20, 2025. After after, he was seen in Dubai with Mahvash watching the Champions Trophy final. When asked, Mahvash made it clear that they were “just friends,” and she has stuck to that.
But their many public appearances have kept the rumor mill going. Mahvash was observed getting on the Punjab Kings team bus with other WAGs (wives and girlfriends of cricketers) during one of the IPL Trophy matches in 2025. This raised more suspicions. Chahal and Mahvash both still say they are not dating, however Chahal once called Mahvash his “spine,” and the actor is often seen cheering for him on social media.
Chahal recently seemed to hint at his relationship status on an episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, which adds another layer to the mystery. When comedian Kiku Sharda asked about the “mystery girl,” Chahal smiled and said, “India jaan chuka hai, 4 mahine pehle” (India knows already, four months ago). This was generally seen as a covert admission of his connection with Mahvash.
