Day one has already seen over 1.5 crore ‘Sanatanis’ taking a holy dip,” he said.
The Mahakumbh is expected to witness an even larger turnout on Makar Sankranti, with over ₹7,000 crore spent on infrastructure development to ensure smooth operations. Temporary hospitals, tea stalls, and multilingual signboards are just a few of the facilities provided to enhance the pilgrims' experience.
The event is not just a spiritual celebration but a testament to India's rich cultural heritage and its ability to host events on an unparalleled scale.
