Superstar Salman Khan travelled to the City of Joy on Tuesday morning to attend the 29th Kolkata International Film Festival’s opening ceremony.
At the airport, Salman was spotted waving to his fans while wearing blue denim trousers and a black T-shirt.
Starting today, the Kolkata International Film Festival is expected to run through December 12.
Under the direction of Mamata Banerjee, the state’s chief minister, the festival is arranged annually. A number of Bollywood performers and actresses were present at the inaugural event. The ‘Dabangg’ actor was in Kolkata for the first time to attend the festival’s launch.
Singer and state minister Babul Supriya arrived at the airport to greet Salman Khan.
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, and Rani Mukerji attended the film festival’s opening ceremony last year.
Salman is currently relishing the enormous success of his most recent action thriller film, “Tiger 3,” in the meantime.
The film, which was directed by Maneesh Sharma, featured Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in the key parts.
Speaking only about “Tiger 3’s” enormous box office take, Salman told ANI, “We’re very grateful and happy about it. Despite the fact that everyone was interested in the World Cup and Diwali, the numbers that we have received are wonderful.”
Along with games like “War” and “Pathaan,” “Tiger 3” is the third entry in the Tiger franchise and a part of the YRF Spy Universe.
His upcoming project is still unknown.
