October 20, 2024: Like every year, Shilpa Shetty is gearing up to celebrate Karwa Chauth with full devotion, fasting for the health and well-being of her husband, Raj Kundra.
On Saturday evening, the actress took to Instagram to share a glimpse of her beautifully arranged Sargi thali.
The traditional thali, a significant part of the festival, was meticulously prepared and included a silver plate with small bowls, a decorated sieve, mehendi cones, green bangles, matthi, sweets, and lachcha seviyan. This wholesome spread, sent by her mother-in-law, reflects the deep-rooted customs of Karwa Chauth, a day when married women fast for their husbands.
Shilpa also showcased her simple yet cute mehendi design, adding a personal and festive touch to her preparations.
For married Hindu women, Karwa Chauth holds great importance, symbolizing the love and commitment in marriage. Observing a nirjala fast (without food and water) until the sighting of the moon, women pray for the long and healthy life of their husbands.
On the professional front, Shilpa Shetty was last seen in Indian Police Force, a web series directed by Rohit Shetty, co-starring Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video earlier this year. She will next appear in the upcoming Kannada film, KD: The Devil, alongside Dhruva Sarja, Sanjay Dutt, Nora Fatehi, and others. Directed by Prem, this period action entertainer, based on true events from 1970s Bangalore, will be released in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
