‘Gladiator-2’ New Trailer Reveals Intense Battle Sequences And Layers Of Family Intrigue

Published:

A new Gladiator-2 trailer is here and its very much better than the first one. The latest flick is set two decades after the events of Gladiator.

The sequel focuses on Paul Mescal’s Lucius, the son of Lucilla and grandson of former emperor Marcus Aurelius. Estranged from his family, he is living with his wife and child in Numidia when Roman soldiers invade. Led by General Marcus Acacius (Pedro Pascal), Lucius is forced into slavery, choosing to fight as a gladiator to oppose the Roman emperors, Caracalla (Fred Hechinger) and Geta (Joseph Quinn).

In the bloody new trailer we see Mescal’s Lucius fighting a baboon, a rhino, and Pascal’s brutal commander. The 2nd trailor is very powerful and effective. Just to recall the first trailer released a few months back had disappointed the audience.

The first trailer for Gladiator-2 had received twice as many dislikes on youtube in comparison to the likes.

It had recieved 49,000 Likes, but 350,000 Dislikes, which showed that more than twice the number of people disliked it rather than like it.

Here are some selected You Tube comments for the first trailer:
“The best thing about this movie will be people rewatching the original”
“I just watched Gladiator again to wash the sins I committed by watching this trailer”
“So we went from Hans Zimmer to my brother’s Spotify playlist”
“Can’t believe I just saw the whole movie in three minutes with a rap edit, no need to waste a couple of hours in a theatre”
