Following their magnificent wedding in Mumbai, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant received a heartwarming welcome in Jamnagar, Gujarat, on Wednesday. The newlyweds, who tied the knot last weekend, were greeted with immense enthusiasm and hospitality by the local residents as they made their way into the town.
Several videos shared online captured the joyous occasion, showcasing the warm reception Anant and Radhika received. One particularly touching video featured women adorned in traditional sarees performing aarti and showering Radhika with rose petals, a gesture that resonated deeply with viewers.
Both Radhika and Anant were visibly delighted and made a charming couple, dressed in coordinating pink outfits. Radhika opted for a simple yet elegant pink suit, while Anant donned a pink kurta paired with an ethnic jacket, highlighting their cohesive style.
Jamnagar holds a profound significance for both Anant and Radhika. Earlier this year, in March 2024, the town was the venue for their pre-wedding celebrations. It is a place rich in personal and family history for Anant; his grandmother, Kokilaben Ambani, was born in Jamnagar, and it is where his grandfather, Dhirubhai Ambani, and father, Mukesh Ambani, began their business journey.
During one of the pre-wedding events, Radhika shared heartfelt insights about their connection to Jamnagar. She mentioned, “This is where we grew up, where we became friends, where we fell in love, and where we built our relationship. This place has become part of our fondest memories, our deepest secrets, our loudest laughs, and the happiest times that we’ve had together as a family.”
The grand wedding of Anant and Radhika took place on July 12 and was graced by numerous high-profile guests, including Bollywood celebrities, socialites Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian, and several prominent Indian politicians. The celebrations continued with a blessing ceremony on July 13, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and a reception on July 14, marking the joyous union of the Ambani and Merchant families.
