“Biographer alleges Musk’s behaviour poses risks to U.S. stability, calls for immediate government intervention.”
January 10, 2025: Seth Abramson, a biographer of Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, has raised serious concerns about the billionaire’s mental health and its potential implications for national stability. In a series of posts on X, the social media platform owned by Musk, Abramson alleged that Musk is “deeply unwell” and urged the U.S. government to take immediate action.

Abramson, who claims to have monitored Musk’s behavior closely for two years, cited Musk’s admitted struggles with mental health, drug use, and stress. “Given that he’s admitted to all of mental illness, heavy drug use, and crippling stress, it is now reasonable to fear he is deeply unwell,” Abramson wrote. “Protect America from Elon Musk.”
Musk’s Influence Across Key Sectors
Abramson highlighted Musk’s pivotal role in several critical sectors, including aerospace, electric vehicles, artificial intelligence, and social media. He also pointed to Musk’s appointment as the incoming head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under the Trump administration, arguing that his influence could endanger national stability.
“His holdings across civilisation-essential industries and his position in the government transition team create a dangerous situation,” Abramson stated, adding that Musk’s alleged “madness” could jeopardise U.S. security.
The biographer called on the current administration to take decisive action during its final weeks in office, including canceling government contracts with Musk and filing lawsuits against his initiatives under DOGE.
Contentious Statements and Polarising Behavior
Musk has been increasingly vocal on X, often engaging in controversial debates and making polarizing statements. Recently, he criticised the UK government for rejecting a public inquiry into a grooming scandal and accused UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer of failing to prosecute perpetrators. Musk described these incidents as a “massive crime against humanity.”
He has also expressed support for Tommy Robinson, founder of the far-right English Defence League, who is currently serving an 18-month jail term for contempt of court. These actions have sparked intense debate online, with some users echoing Abramson’s concerns about Musk’s erratic behavior, while others defended his vision and influence.
One X user described Musk as a “thin-skinned, drug-addled Bond villain,” while another speculated that he sees himself as a “guardian of Western culture.”
Musk’s Mental Health Speculation
Musk’s mental health has been a topic of speculation in the past. Reports last year suggested he experienced a mental breakdown following public booing at a Dave Chappelle show shortly after acquiring Twitter for $44 billion.
As the debate continues, Abramson’s warnings have reignited discussions about the responsibilities and risks of holding significant power across multiple industries.
