
Case Registered Against Youtuber Apoorva Mukhija Over Remarks on Samay Raina’s Roast Show
February 11, 2025: A police case has been filed against social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija, along with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia and others, over their controversial remarks on comedian Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. The accused have been charged with promoting obscenity and engaging in explicit discussions, triggering massive public outrage.

Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as Rebel Kid or Kaleshi Aurat, appeared as a guest panellist alongside Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and host Samay Raina. During the episode, Mukhija made a vulgar remark involving a contestant’s mother, which drew sharp criticism from viewers. While the show is known for its bold and unfiltered humor, many believe that this particular episode crossed the line.

Although Allahbadia’s comments have been at the center of the controversy, Mukhija’s remarks have also led to severe backlash. Following the outrage, she attempted to downplay the situation by sharing a screenshot of a private chat with a friend, captioning it, “Me and [friend]’s last two brain cells trying to come up with a solve for the new problem that I created.”
Apoorva Mukhija is a popular content creator with over 2.7 million Instagram followers, known for her mini vlogs, candid storytelling, and lifestyle content. Born in 2001, she has carved a niche in digital content creation, making her one of India’s fastest-rising social media personalities.
With a police case filed, the controversy surrounding India’s Got Latent continues to escalate. Authorities have indicated that legal proceedings will further investigate the alleged obscenity and offensive content aired on the show. Meanwhile, Mukhija and other accused influencers are yet to make a formal statement regarding the case.
