“Multiple women accuse the celebrated author of coercion and abuse, reigniting concerns over past allegations.”

British author Neil Gaiman, renowned for works such as The Sandman and Good Omens, is facing new sexual assault allegations from multiple women, adding to accusations reported months earlier. The latest claims were revealed in an investigative piece published by New York Magazine’s entertainment website, Vulture.

Disturbing Allegations from Multiple Women

The article, titled “There Is No Safe Word,” outlines accusations from eight women, including one from Scarlett Pavlovich, who used to babysit Gaiman’s child. Pavlovich alleges that during her time working for Gaiman and his ex-wife Amanda Palmer, she was coerced into uncomfortable situations. She recounted an incident where Gaiman allegedly encouraged her to bathe in a garden tub and later attempted to join her. He reportedly asked her to call him “master,” to which she declined.

One particularly harrowing allegation involved Gaiman forcing Pavlovich to eat her vomit after an alleged sexual assault attempt. Pavlovich reported the incident to Amanda Palmer and later filed a police report, but the case did not proceed. She eventually signed a non-disclosure agreement and received $9,200 in payments from Gaiman over nine months.

Earlier Allegations Resurface

The allegations against Gaiman are not new. In July 2024, another woman, identified as “K,” accused the author of sexual abuse. She claimed to have first met him at a book signing in 2003, when she was 18. Gaiman has denied all allegations, asserting that the claims involve “false memories” stemming from health concerns in Pavlovich’s case.
