January 30, 2025: New York: Harvey Weinstein, the 72-year-old former Hollywood producer convicted of multiple sexual offenses, pleaded with a New York judge on Wednesday to expedite his retrial, originally scheduled for April 15. Weinstein, battling chronic myeloid leukemia, heart issues, and diabetes, begged the court to consider his declining health, saying, “I don’t know how much longer I can hold on.”
