After 27 years of marriage, Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness’s separation has hit a roadblock due to the lack of a prenuptial agreement. Reports suggest that their $250 million fortune, accumulated during their marriage, is causing delays in filing for divorce.

The couple, who married in 1996 after meeting on the Australian TV show Correlli, share two adopted children, Oscar (24) and Ava (19). Their combined wealth includes prime real estate, such as a $3.5M East Hampton estate, a $5.9M Bondi beach house, and a $21M Manhattan penthouse, all of which will need to be divided equitably.

Despite their split, Jackman and Furness remain committed to co-parenting their children. However, tensions have reportedly risen following Jackman’s budding relationship with Broadway co-star Sutton Foster. While insiders emphasize there was no overlap between his relationships with Furness and Foster, the new romance has fueled speculation and emotional challenges.
Furness has reportedly dealt with feelings of “resentment and imbalance” during the later years of their marriage. While she sparked rumors by “liking” a social media post alleging infidelity, sources maintain that Jackman and Furness are focused on keeping the separation amicable for the sake of their children.
