The actor’s revelations about his struggles with addiction resurface as Blake Lively files a lawsuit accusing him of harassment and misconduct.
December 24, 2024: Justin Baldoni’s Candid Admission-American actor and filmmaker Justin Baldoni has opened up about his long-standing struggle with porn addiction in a resurfaced interview, garnering renewed attention amid Blake Lively’s recent lawsuit against him. In a 2021 episode of Sarah Grynberg’s A Life of Greatness podcast, Baldoni shared that his exposure to pornography began at the young age of 10, shaping an unhealthy relationship that persisted into adulthood.
“I was introduced to porn when I was 10 years old, long before I could even comprehend my feelings. Like many boys, it started as excitement over something that society had overly sexualized,” Baldoni shared.
The 40-year-old actor revealed that over the years, he used pornography as a coping mechanism during moments of loneliness, abandonment, or emotional distress. “I trained my brain to deal with pain through the dopamine rush [porn provided]… I knew it was an issue when I repeatedly told myself I didn’t want to do it, but I still did,” he admitted.
Blake Lively’s Lawsuit
The resurfacing of Baldoni’s remarks coincides with serious allegations made by Blake Lively, who filed a lawsuit accusing her It Ends With Us co-star of workplace misconduct, sexual harassment, and creating a hostile environment.
Lively claims Baldoni engaged in inappropriate behaviour, including unplanned physical contact, intrusive comments, and unauthorised inclusion of explicit scenes in the film. The lawsuit also alleges Baldoni frequently made inappropriate remarks about cast members and crew, discussed personal sexual experiences, and created discomfort by referencing nude videos of women.
Additionally, Lively accused Baldoni of retaliating against her after she raised concerns about his conduct, claiming his actions were part of a smear campaign.
Legal Defense
Baldoni’s legal team has strongly refuted the allegations, labeling them “false, outrageous, and sensationalized.” His attorney, Bryan Freedman, argued that Lively’s lawsuit was an attempt to repair her reputation rather than address genuine grievances.
