Kareena Kapoor Speaks On Saif Ali Khan’s Attack: “Respect Our Boundaries”

The actor addresses the media, requesting space for her family to heal after the traumatic burglary incident.

January 17, 2025: Actor Kareena Kapoor has spoken out following the attack on her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan, during an alleged burglary attempt at their Mumbai residence. Saif was stabbed multiple times during the incident, which has since garnered intense media coverage.

Taking to Instagram, Kareena addressed the situation, describing it as a deeply challenging time for her family. She urged the media and paparazzi to respect their privacy during this sensitive period.

Kareena Kapoor’s Statement

In her note, Kareena expressed her concerns about the overwhelming scrutiny. “It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from the relentless speculation and coverage,” she wrote.

She added, “While we appreciate the concern and support, the constant scrutiny and attention are not only overwhelming but also pose a significant risk to our safety. I kindly request that you respect our boundaries and give us the space we need to heal and cope as a family.”

The actor also expressed gratitude to those who have shown their support, concluding, “I would like to thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation during this sensitive time.”

Support from the Film Industry

Kareena’s statement was met with an outpouring of support from industry colleagues. Actor Arjun Kapoor reposted her note on Instagram, writing, “It is only fair that this is read, heard, and respectfully understood by all of us.” Similarly, Sonam Kapoor and Konkona Sensharma shared Kareena’s post, with Konkona adding, “Please leave them alone! We don’t need to see them enter and exit the hospital.”

Details of the Burglary Incident

The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday at Saif and Kareena’s apartment in Bandra, Mumbai. The intruder managed to enter their residence, where Saif, 54, was stabbed multiple times. He was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital by his staff in an auto-rickshaw.

Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, revealed that Saif sustained six injuries, including two deep wounds, with one knife lodged near his spine. Emergency surgery was performed, and doctors have confirmed that Saif is now stable and out of danger.
