January 14, 2025: Acclaimed British author Neil Gaiman, known for his works Good Omens, American Gods, and The Sandman, faces new allegations of sexual misconduct and assault. JK Rowling Compares Allegations to Weinstein
Fellow author JK Rowling weighed in on the allegations, drawing comparisons to the cases against disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. Rowling criticized the literary community for its silence, writing on X, “The literary crowd that had a hell of a lot to say about Harvey Weinstein before he was convicted has been strangely muted in its response to multiple accusations against Neil Gaiman.”

Weinstein was convicted of sexually assaulting Miriam Haley in 2006 and raping Jessica Mann in 2013. He is serving 23 years for the New York case and an additional 16 years for a separate California case.

The allegations against Gaiman have sparked a significant public outcry, drawing attention to power dynamics and abuse within the literary world.
