We Beggars Can’t Be Choosers: Annu Kapoor

Mumbai, October 23, 2024: Renowned actor, director, and TV host Annu Kapoor has left a lasting impact on audiences through his versatile performances and charismatic hosting. Best known for the popular singing reality show ‘Antakshari,’ Kapoor reflects on how the show changed his life. “It shifted me from Rs 750 or Rs 1,000 rent to one-bedroom hall…You have to convince the public, and they are with you,” he shared.

He praised the originality of shows like ‘Ramayan,’ ‘Mahabharat,’ and ‘Antakshari,’ emphasizing, “We can call them ‘ours’.”

On his role in ‘Vicky Donor,’ Kapoor candidly said, “We beggars can’t be choosers… the role is so good.” He expressed pride in being part of the film, directed by Shoojit Sircar and written by Juhi Chaturvedi, calling it a “wonderful subject.”
