Music maestro AR Rahman and his son AR Ameen made headlines as they attended Ed Sheeran’s electrifying concert in Chennai last night. While Rahman and the British singer enthralled the audience with a remix of “Shape of You” and “Urvasi,” it was AR Ameen’s luxurious timepiece that stole the limelight.

Ameen wore a Richard Mille RM 65-01 Split Second Chronograph Titanium watch, a masterpiece of Swiss engineering. The Instagram page “The Indian Horology” identified the watch, which retails at CHF 235,000 (approximately ₹2.26 crore). On the Chrono24 website, its value is listed as ₹3.26 crore. This motorsport-inspired watch is one of the brand’s most intricate designs, boasting over 60 hours of power reserve and parts made from grade 5 titanium. Its development spanned five years, reflecting Richard Mille’s commitment to precision and innovation.
