Rihanna Reportedly Wants Kardashian Family Banned from Met Gala 2025 Over Ties to Chris Brown and Kanye West

Pop icon Rihanna is reportedly pushing to have the Kardashian-Jenner family banned from the 2025 Met Gala over their controversial ties to Chris Brown and Kanye West. The move comes as Rihanna’s longtime boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, takes on a co-chair role at next year’s prestigious event.
According to RadarOnline, Rihanna has never been particularly fond of the Kardashian family. The tension reportedly stems from Kendall Jenner’s brief association with Chris Brown in 2014 and her past romantic involvement with A$AP Rocky in 2017. Rihanna has also allegedly distanced herself from Kim Kardashian during her marriage to Kanye West.
A source revealed, “Rihanna doesn’t like Kendall because of her connection with Chris Brown. Kendall chose a side, and Rihanna hasn’t forgotten. With A$AP Rocky now on the planning committee for the Met Gala, Rihanna has significant influence over the guest list.”
A$AP Rocky’s position as a co-chair for the 2025 Met Gala alongside Anna Wintour has reportedly given Rihanna a strong say in who attends the event. Insiders suggest that Rihanna sees the Met Gala as an opportunity to settle old scores, particularly with Kendall Jenner and her family.
“Rihanna has a long memory, and the Met Gala is her chance to have the final word,” the source added.
The 2025 Met Gala is set to celebrate the style and cultural contributions of Black men throughout history with the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” Co-hosts will include Pharrell Williams, Lewis Hamilton, Colman Domingo, and honorary chair LeBron James.
While the dress code for the event is yet to be revealed, the theme promises to honor Black dandyism and elevate the historical significance of Black men’s fashion.
The rumored feud has sparked intense speculation online, with fans divided over Rihanna’s reported stance. Some support her desire to curate the event’s guest list, while others feel the Kardashians deserve their annual spotlight at fashion’s biggest night.
Only time will tell if the Kardashians will make their traditional appearance on the Met Gala red carpet or if Rihanna’s influence will seal their fate.
