The 49-year-old actress has opened her home to friends forced to flee their residences due to the destruction, offering a safe haven during this crisis.

A source close to Jolie told PEOPLE, “Angie is heartbroken for those who have lost their homes or been impacted by the fires. She’s doing everything she can to help, even opening her home to friends who had to evacuate.”

The Pacific Palisades wildfires, one of the most destructive in Los Angeles history, have claimed 11 lives as of January 10, according to the County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner (DME). Additionally, the Eaton Fire and the Palisades Fire combined have reduced 10,000 structures, including homes and offices, to ashes, officials reported.
