Angelina Jolie Opens Home to LA Wildfire Evacuees, Joins Celebs in Relief Efforts

January 12, 2025: Los Angeles: Amid the catastrophic wildfires ravaging California, Angelina Jolie has taken a compassionate step to support evacuees. The 49-year-old actress has opened her home to friends forced to flee their residences due to the destruction, offering a safe haven during this crisis.

A source close to Jolie told PEOPLE, “Angie is heartbroken for those who have lost their homes or been impacted by the fires. She’s doing everything she can to help, even opening her home to friends who had to evacuate.”

The Pacific Palisades wildfires, one of the most destructive in Los Angeles history, have claimed 11 lives as of January 10, according to the County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner (DME). Additionally, the Eaton Fire and the Palisades Fire combined have reduced 10,000 structures, including homes and offices, to ashes, officials reported.

Hollywood Steps Up

Several celebrities have also come forward to support those affected by the fires. Halle Berry shared on Instagram that she is collaborating with Sharon Stone to donate her “entire closet” to those in need of clothing.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have also joined the relief efforts, opening their home to evacuees. Jamie Lee Curtis and her husband Christopher Guest pledged $1 million to assist victims, demonstrating Hollywood’s collective effort to extend solidarity and resources during this challenging time.

The Pacific Palisades area, home to many Hollywood stars, has seen widespread devastation. Celebrities like Leighton Meester, Adam Brody, Anna Faris, Ricki Lake, Cary Elwes, and Cameron Mathison are among those who have lost their homes.
