Despite several months on the market and multiple renovations, the sprawling property has failed to attract a buyer, leaving Lopez feeling trapped in a home filled with reminders of her former marriage.

A source close to Lopez told InTouch Weekly, “She can’t wait to get the hell out of the house when she can. She assumed it would have sold by now, especially after all the renovations and personal touches she added, but nothing has happened.”
The mansion, which spans 38,000 square feet and features 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms, has been a reminder of Lopez’s failed marriage to Affleck. The insider explained, “The house feels like a noose around her neck. She walks around and feels all the bad memories. Not even her ‘weird voodoo magic’ has helped. The place still has imprints of Ben everywhere.”

Lopez and Affleck bought the property in May 2023, with hopes of it being their dream home. However, by July, they listed the mansion for sale, and Affleck purchased a $20 million home in Pacific Palisades. Just weeks later, Lopez filed for divorce on August 20, exactly two years after their wedding.
Sources had previously predicted that the relationship was headed for trouble. One told InTouch Weekly in May, “The writing was on the wall — it’s over. They’re headed for a divorce, and for once, [Ben’s] not to blame.” The source added that Affleck had already moved out and was focusing on his work and children, while Lopez, despite the deep emotional ties, could not control the relationship’s course.
Now, as the mansion remains unsold, Lopez continues to grapple with the weight of the memories attached to the home. The property’s stagnant sale has only added to her frustration as she seeks to close this chapter of her life and move forward.
