December 30, 2024: In the final ‘Mann Ki Baat’ broadcast of 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid heartfelt tributes to four legendary figures of Indian cinemaRaj Kapoor, Mohammed Rafi, Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR), and Tapan Sinha—as the nation celebrated their birth centenaries this year.

PM Modi on Cinema Icons:

Addressing the nation, PM Modi said, “In 2024, we are celebrating the birth centenary of several film personalities who brought global recognition to Indian cinema. Their lives remain a source of inspiration for our film industry.”
