The actor was spotted at the city’s airport on Thursday evening, igniting speculation about a possible announcement regarding her next Indian film.

A video capturing Priyanka at the Hyderabad airport has gone viral on social media. Dressed in a brown co-ord set and covering her face with a beige cap, Priyanka was accompanied by her security detail as she exited the terminal. The video has fueled rumors that Priyanka may be in the city to discuss an upcoming project with Baahubali and RRR director SS Rajamouli, alongside Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu.

While details remain under wraps, fans are hopeful that this collaboration could mark Priyanka’s return to Indian cinema—and Telugu cinema—after more than two decades. Her last Telugu film was P Ravi Shankar’s 2002 romantic drama Apuroopam.

Indian Cinema Comeback

Priyanka Chopra’s last Indian film was the 2021 Netflix release The White Tiger, directed by Ramin Bahrani. Her last theatrical release in India was Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink in 2016. Although Priyanka was attached to Farhan Akhtar’s much-anticipated Jee Le Zaraa with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif, the film is yet to commence production.

Priyanka has, however, remained supportive of Indian cinema on international platforms. She recently joined Anuja, an Oscar-shortlisted short film, as an executive producer. The project, set in New Delhi, also involves renowned producers Guneet Monga and Mindy Kaling.

On the international front, Priyanka has several major releases lined up, including Heads of State, The Bluff, Citadel Season 2, and a holiday-themed film featuring the Jonas Brothers, which she began shooting in Toronto earlier this month.
