Tom Holland on Why He Avoids Zendaya's Red Carpet Events: 'It's Her Moment, Not Ours'
January 3, 2025: In a recent interview with Men’s Health, Tom Holland candidly discussed his decision to avoid accompanying Zendaya on the red carpet for her solo film premieres. While the couple has attended events together for their joint projects, like the Spider-Man franchise, Holland explained why he opts out when the spotlight is solely on her.
Holland clarified his stance, saying:
“Because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us.”

The actor added that he doesn’t want to shift the focus from Zendaya to their relationship during her special moments. However, fans can expect to see them walking the carpet together next year when their upcoming movies, Spider-Man 4 and The Odyssey, hit theaters.

During the interview, Holland also opened up about his future plans. He humorously revealed his dream of stepping away from acting once he becomes a father:
“When I have kids, you will not see me in movies anymore. Golf and dad. And I will just disappear off the face of the earth.”
Reflecting on their working dynamic, Holland shared how comforting it is to have Zendaya on set:
“It’s just that perfect thing when you’re on set and a director will give you a note that maybe you don’t agree with, and it’s just that familiar glance at each other of like, ‘Can’t wait to talk about that later.'”
As the couple gears up for another exciting year of blockbuster releases, fans eagerly await seeing them share both screen space and red carpets once again.
