A Power-Packed Period Thriller Set in 1980s South India

Mumbai, February 4: Netflix has unveiled the first look of Akka, a gripping period thriller starring Keerthy Suresh and Radhika Apte in intense, never-seen-before avatars as formidable gangster queens.

The highly anticipated series, set in the fictional city of Pernuru in 1980s South India, explores a matriarchal society where powerful women reign supreme. Their dominance is threatened when an outsider disrupts their rule, leading to a violent, high-stakes battle for survival.

Directed by Dharmaraj Shetty, Akka boasts an impressive lineup of talent:
