A Love Story Cut Short

However, their fairytale love story took a tragic turn when his girlfriend fell sick. Vivek recounted the painful memory: “When I couldn’t reach her or her family, I called her cousin, who told me she was in the hospital. I rushed there. We had been in a relationship for 5–6 years, and she was the girl of my dreams. Then, I found out she was in the final stage of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. It was a complete shock. Despite everything we tried, she passed away within two months. I was broken and shattered.”

Grieving and Healing

The loss deeply impacted the young actor. Vivek admitted that for a long time after her passing, he would “see her in random people walking by.” He struggled to accept that she was gone, and the grief weighed heavily on him. However, Vivek found solace and purpose later in life when he started working with children battling cancer.

“It was through helping others who were going through similar battles that I started to heal. I realized that my pain could be transformed into something meaningful,” he added.

Career and Personal Growth

Born to veteran actor Suresh Oberoi, Vivek rose to fame with his debut in Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Company’ (2002). He went on to star in popular films like ‘Masti’ and ‘Dum’, becoming one of Bollywood’s most promising actors.

However, his career faced challenges in the mid-2000s. In recent years, Vivek has found success in the OTT space, with notable performances in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Indian Police Force’ and other streaming projects.

Beyond acting, Vivek has also established himself as a successful entrepreneur, investing in real estate and other industries, making him one of India’s wealthiest actors.

Turning Pain Into Purpose

Vivek’s journey from personal heartbreak to professional success is both inspiring and heartwarming. His advocacy for cancer awareness and his commitment to helping children battling the disease reflect his resilience and compassion.

“It took me a long time to find peace, but I believe that my childhood sweetheart’s memory lives on in the work I do for cancer patients,” Vivek concluded.

As Vivek continues to shine both on and off the screen, his story serves as a reminder of the power of love, loss, and resilience in shaping one’s life.
