“I Hate Taylor Swift” : Donald Trump Blasts After Singer Endorses Kamala Harris

Former U.S. President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to express his disdain for pop star Taylor Swift after she publicly endorsed his political rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, for the 2024 presidential election. In his post, Trump bluntly stated, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”

This reaction came shortly after Swift voiced her support for Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, in a presidential debate organized by ABC News.

Swift praised Harris in a heartfelt note posted on Instagram, calling her a “warrior” and a “steady-handed, gifted leader.” Swift encouraged her fans to research political candidates thoroughly and emphasized that she believes Harris embodies the leadership qualities needed to guide the country with “calm, not chaos,” a clear critique of Trump’s leadership style.

Swift’s endorsement of Harris and Walz comes in the wake of President Joe Biden stepping down from the 2024 race, largely due to concerns over his age and performance in a debate with Trump. Harris, who is now the Democratic nominee, stands to make history as the first woman, as well as the first Black and Asian American, to potentially become the U.S. president.

Swift’s remarks, coupled with her public support for Democratic candidates, continue to position her as a vocal advocate for causes such as LGBTQ+ rights and women’s reproductive freedoms, which she emphasized in her note. Her comments also took a playful jab at Sen. JD Vance, Trump’s running mate, by referring to herself as a “childless cat lady,” reclaiming a phrase Vance had used to criticize Democrats.

This latest clash between Trump and Swift adds to the ongoing political friction, with Swift using her influence to support progressive causes, while Trump remains critical of the entertainment industry’s involvement in politics.
