Abu Dhabi is set to embrace the vibrant spirit of Indian cinema with the much-anticipated IIFA 2024 (International Indian Film Academy Awards) from September 27 to September 29.
The three-day event promises an extraordinary celebration of Indian cinema with a lineup of memorable performances, star-studded appearances, and prestigious honors.
The festivities will kick off with IIFA Utsavam, dedicated to the southern film industries—Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. One of the highlights of this event will be the honoring of megastar Chiranjeevi, a legendary figure in Indian cinema.
On the second day, Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan, Vicky Kaushal, and Karan Johar will entertain the audience with their hosting duties during the IIFA Awards Night.
SRK expressed his excitement, saying, “IIFA is a celebration of Indian cinema that resonates across the globe.”
Karan Johar, deeply connected to IIFA through his family legacy, also shared his pride in co-hosting with SRK. The two were recently spotted at an IIFA pre-event in Mumbai, engaging in light-hearted banter. SRK humorously teased Karan about hosting more chat shows than making films, referencing Karan’s iconic talk show Koffee With Karan.
A major highlight will be the return of Rekha to the IIFA stage after her breathtaking performance in 2018. Known for her timeless charm, Rekha will once again mesmerize the audience with her act, celebrating Indian cinema in her unique style. Speaking about IIFA, she mentioned, “It feels like home—a beautiful showcase where the magic of Indian cinema truly comes alive.”
The evening will also feature spectacular performances from stars like Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Ananya Panday, Janhvi Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal, adding even more glamour to the event.
The grand finale on September 29, IIFA Rocks, will be an exclusive, invitation-only event featuring live performances from artists such as Honey Singh, Shilpa Rao, and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, bringing the celebration to a memorable close.
IIFA 2024 promises to be an unforgettable extravaganza, showcasing the best of Indian cinema and bringing together some of the biggest names in the industry.
